Concept Description

Baby Power Forever Kids operates interactive play centers focused on early childhood development, serving children from about 6 months through age 6 with structured classes and themed activities. Programs combine warm‑ups, mini‑gymnastics, music and singing, story time, crafts, and show‑and‑tell to support motor skills, language, and social development during the most formative years. All classes up to age 3 are designed as parent‑child sessions, emphasizing communication and bonding so parents directly observe their child’s progress.

The concept extends beyond weekly classes to include arts and crafts, cooking, theme classes, gym play, and science‑style experiments, creating a variety of age‑appropriate Forever Kids programs for older preschoolers. Centers also host birthday parties and special events, using the gym, music, and craft components to deliver high‑energy celebrations that leverage the same child‑focused environment. Locations typically operate in 1,800–2,500 square‑foot retail or strip‑mall spaces, making them accessible to families in established commercial areas.

From a franchising standpoint, Baby Power Forever Kids is offered as a 10‑year franchise with a defined, exclusive territory sized based on demographics such as families with children and local income levels. The franchisor has been refining its system since the 1970s and began franchising in 2012, providing franchisees with a structured operating model, proprietary curriculum, original music, and branded characters and materials. Franchisees follow “The Way We Do Things,” a detailed operations system backed by training, an operations manual, and ongoing field support.

New owners receive initial training at corporate plus on‑site commencement assistance, including several days of in‑location guidance covering administration, operations, marketing, and customer service. The franchisor also provides an operations manual, training videos, and periodic visits or remote support to help owners refine their classes, birthday parties, and local marketing efforts. Franchisees are required to execute a structured local marketing plan, including start‑up campaigns and ongoing advertising spend, while being featured on a central brand website with hosted web presence.

Baby Power Forever Kids may appeal to candidates who want to combine business ownership with a mission‑driven, family‑oriented environment that impacts children’s development. The model includes options for multi‑unit development in contiguous territories, allowing qualified operators to open two or three locations under a single multi‑unit arrangement. For brokers and candidates seeking a differentiated children’s enrichment or party concept with strong parent involvement and a long operating history, this brand offers a clearly defined niche in early childhood play‑and‑learn centers.

History:

After my 4th child, I decided to teach a small parent/child class for the adult school in my town. I used a bean bag, an old ladder and my ironing board as a climbing ramp and songs that my grandmother sang. Now we have state of the art gym equipment and about 50 songs I have written! It became very popular over a few years and I rebuilt my carriage house on my property and taught there for 10 Years. I began writing songs and including them in my classes. I played the piano in the classes but my moms said “please record the music” so I did. Then I was able to hire teachers and I divided the music into age groups for the children. This is what really enabled me to go into business. I then opened Baby Power in a retail shopping center and was there for 20 years and had three of my own locations. I have written a book, have 3 CD’s for sale (I write and sing all the music). I have developed a “system of communication between parents and children” that has changed lives for the better of many of my students and their families.
After becoming a franchise, a group from China visited my location in the Bronx, liked the concept, purchased a Master and have many locations.
