Operational and Marketing Tools:
Because of the strong brand recognition, CertaPro Painters has consistently experienced strong lead generation for its franchisees. This occurs with national and local integrated marketing programs that are tried and true as well as turnkey for franchisees. Programs range from digital strategies consisting of pay-per-click, search engine optimization, social media and YouTube advertising, programmatic and retargeting campaigns to tactics that regenerate business with previous customers. Generating online reviews is also a focus. Markets are designated into coops where targeted and mass media (TV, radio) are executed to generate additional brand awareness.
Marketing programs for generating additional brand awareness and direct leads for the residential and commercial marketplace are supplemented with tactics to also recruit team members, including painters. Campaigns specifically designed to recruit painters are implemented as part of the overall marketing mix.
The Marketing team has an in-house design team and there is also a CertaProStore.com where franchisees can easily customize ad templates. The Marketing team also has disciplines of digital and brand innovation, brand experience and data insights, and field activation (local marketing and coop support and creative).
Leads that come in from the strong marketing programs are captured via the CertaPro.com website where each franchisee has their own local website. The phone number 800-GO-CERTA is also promoted in marketing materials and is answered by a call center. The local franchises receive immediate notification of new leads and appointments on their calendars.
Brand experience is measured through the NPS system and each franchisee has access to a dashboard showing them cNPS (a satisfaction measurement after the consult with customer) and NPS (after the project has been completed). This allows for the franchisee to celebrate successes with their team and also evaluate business practices for continuous improvement.
On a daily basis franchisees access the CRM platform that tracks sales and customer activities. Additionally, they can see key business metrics that can help them determine the ROI on lead generating tactics, associate productivity, and overall sales and production volumes.
Annually, the operations and development team members present business planning templates in which they work with franchisees to outline their vision, organizational chart, marketing plan/lead performance, financial budget, cash flow, and other areas that are key to business operations.
