Concept Description
America Has a Drywall Problem. PatchitUP Has the Answer.
Every home, office, apartment, hotel, and commercial building in America has drywall. And that drywall always gets damaged. From burst pipes and botched DIY to electricians cutting access holes, kids putting elbows through walls, water leaks, settling, accidents, and a thousand other everyday disasters, the demand for professional drywall repair is constant, recession-resistant, and growing. Yet somehow, in a category worth tens of billions of dollars a year, no one has built a real national brand. General contractors turn the work down because the job sizes are too small. Handymen do it inconsistently. Painters dabble in it. Homeowners stare at a hole in the wall with no professional to call. The category is wide open, and most franchise prospects never even consider it because the word “drywall” sounds smaller than it is.
We saw this gap, and we built PatchitUP to own it.
PatchitUP is the specialty drywall and plaster repair franchise that turned a fragmented, overlooked service into a real, branded, technology-driven business with two recurring revenue engines built right into the model. Most drywall work is one and done. We changed that. HomeGuard is our consumer membership that turns one-time customers into long-term, recurring relationships. The Power Partner Program is our B2B engine where plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, roofers, restoration companies, and property managers pay to partner with our franchisees and refer drywall work year-round. Every owner in our system runs a service company on top of two subscription businesses. That structure does not exist anywhere else in the drywall category, and it is the single biggest reason owners choose us.
The model is built to be accessible without being small. A Field Builder can launch with one territory, one truck, and a home-based operation, with a total investment starting around $108,750. That is roughly a third of what it costs to open a plumbing or HVAC franchise. A Market Builder can lock up multiple territories and launch with multiple trucks, building a real operating company from day one. Either way, the franchisee plugs into an enterprise-grade system on day one, including ServiceTitan running operations, our proprietary Elevate Engine and Ella AI capturing and booking every lead 24 hours a day, gamified training through 1Huddle, a dedicated franchise business coach, and the backing of Elevate Franchise Brands, our multi-brand platform that also operates 1-800-Plumber +Air. No drywall or contracting experience is required. We recruit leaders and develop the technical skills through our training program.
PatchitUP is for the candidate who wants to own a real, hands-on, recession-resistant business in a category that nobody else has organized yet. It is for the leader who sees opportunity where others see a hole in the wall. And it is for the operator who understands that the best franchise plays are not always the loudest ones, they are the ones built on real demand, real margins, and real recurring revenue in industries everyone needs but nobody owns.
We are not the loudest brand in home services. We are the smartest play in it. And we are looking for the candidates ready to build alongside us.

The PatchitUP Story
Every great franchise concept starts the same way. Someone notices a real problem that other people walked right past, and they cannot stop thinking about it. PatchitUP is no exception.
The story begins with our founder, Peter Kourounis, a serial franchise entrepreneur who had already built and sold one franchise system to a national brand before he turned his attention to drywall. Peter had spent years inside the franchising world, watching how brands rise, where they get stuck, and what truly separates the great concepts from the noise. So when he started looking at the home services category, he was not looking for the loudest opportunity. He was looking for the one nobody else had organized yet. He kept noticing the same strange thing in every conversation with homeowners, property managers, and trades professionals. Everybody had a hole in a wall. Everybody had a ceiling crack from a leak. Everybody had a story about calling three contractors and getting ghosted on a 2-foot drywall repair. And nobody, nowhere, had a brand they could just call.
Peter sat with that for a while. Then he started doing the math. There are over 140 million homes in America. Every single one has drywall. Every single one will need drywall repair at some point, often many times, often soon. The category was generating tens of billions of dollars a year in fragmented work, performed by independents with no consistent standard, no brand, no recurring revenue model, no technology, and no organized national play. He had found his next concept. PatchitUP was born to own a category that everybody needed but nobody had built.
The early days were classic franchise founder work. Peter opened the first PatchitUP location himself, on the ground, on Long Island, running the trucks, learning the business, refining the playbook from the inside. He did not build PatchitUP from a boardroom. He built it from a service van. He learned what worked with customers, what tripped up technicians, how to make the unit economics sing, and where the system needed to break before it could scale. By 2022, he had refined the model enough to know it was ready for franchising, and in 2023 PatchitUP awarded its first franchises.
Then came the inflection point that changed everything. Peter joined forces with Mark Collins, who had built and operated 1-800-Plumber +Air, another deeply operator-led home services franchise. Together, they recognized that the future of franchising in home services would not be standalone brands fighting for scraps. It would be multi-brand platforms with shared infrastructure, shared technology, shared back-office, and shared operating wisdom. They folded both brands under Elevate Franchise Brands, the multi-brand operating company that powers PatchitUP and 1-800-Plumber +Air today. PatchitUP got the scale, leverage, and platform muscle of a much larger brand without losing the agility and specificity that made it work in the first place.
From there, the brand has built quickly and deliberately. The Power Partner Program was created to turn drywall repair into a structured B2B membership engine, the only one of its kind in the category. HomeGuard was launched to turn one-time customers into recurring members. The Elevate Engine and our AI assistant Ella were built in-house, so every PatchitUP location captures and books leads 24 hours a day. Training was systemized through PatchitUP University and 1Huddle. Coaching was delivered through dedicated Franchise Business Coaches. And the entire operation was wired together through ServiceTitan and ClickUp, with our AI Brain providing instant, system-grounded answers to every franchisee. None of it was bolted on. All of it was designed in.
The brand today is exactly what its founders set out to build. A real, recurring-revenue, technology-driven, operator-led franchise in a massive underserved category. PatchitUP is not the loudest brand in home services. It is not the oldest. It is the contrarian play, the smart bet, the category nobody else organized first. And that, in the end, is the story we are still writing, one territory and one owner at a time.
Every franchise starts with someone who saw what others missed. PatchitUP is that story in real time, and the next chapter is being written by the owners we are awarding right now.

Passive Ownership Explain: PatchitUP does not accept absentee or fully passive ownership under any circumstances. Home services is a hands-on business that requires real, engaged leadership at the local level, and the brand standard only holds up when an accountable owner is leading the operation. That said, we do offer a semi-passive pathway for qualified candidates through our Executive Owner Model. Under this model, the owner installs a strong, full-time General Manager to run the daily operation while staying actively engaged in strategy, financial oversight, hiring, culture, and growth. Executive Owners still attend weekly coaching calls with their Franchise Business Coach, know their numbers cold, drive culture, and lead the team through their GM. The Executive Owner Model is most commonly pursued by Market Builder franchisees, experienced multi-unit operators, and candidates adding PatchitUP to a portfolio of businesses, often after an initial period of hands-on involvement to build the team and establish operating rhythm. Candidates looking for a fully hands-off investment with no involvement should be directed to a different category, as they will not qualify for award at PatchitUP.

Training Description:
Training at PatchitUP is built on a single promise. Every owner walks in green, walks out ready, and stays sharp for the entire life of the franchise. We do not require any drywall, plaster, or contracting experience before signing, which means our training program has to deliver the technical skills, the operational system, the leadership tools, and the brand standard from the ground up. That is exactly what it is engineered to do.
The journey begins with PatchitUP University, our immersive initial training program held at our corporate facility in the Houston, Texas area. New owners and key team members come through approximately 52 hours of structured learning, including classroom instruction and on-the-job training, covering operations, sales, marketing, hiring, technology, financial management, customer experience, and the BEST Philosophy that defines how every PatchitUP location is expected to perform. Owners attend with a manager and leave knowing exactly how to run the system, lead their team, and execute the proven playbook.
From there, the B.E.S.T. Launch Program takes over. This is our structured 90 to 120 day onboarding pathway that walks every new franchisee through nine launch milestones from business setup and technology configuration to recruiting, vehicles and inventory, marketing, and going live. Nothing is left to guesswork. The franchisee is supported step by step with checklists, tools, and direct corporate guidance until the doors open and the trucks roll.
Once the business is open, training never stops. Every franchisee is assigned a dedicated Franchise Business Coach who holds weekly one-on-one calls focused on real performance, real numbers, and real growth. Technicians, BEST Representatives, and CSRs train continuously through 1Huddle, the gamified mobile training platform trusted by Shake Shack, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the United States Air Force, where short 1-to-2 minute mobile games reinforce brand standards, technical skills, and customer experience until they become automatic. Owners and teams also have full access to our Digital Operations Manual, hosted in ClickUp, our internal franchise support platform, where the entire system playbook lives and is updated continuously as the brand evolves.
Owners also have the AI Brain at their fingertips, our proprietary AI-powered franchise support tool trained on the PatchitUP playbook and connected to the franchisee’s own business data. It works 24 hours a day, answering operational, financial, and strategic questions with system-grounded responses. Beyond that, franchisees benefit from live monthly curriculum updates, weekly technician training led by our Director of Training, an annual convention that brings the network together, peer-to-peer learning across locations, and direct access to our corporate marketing, technology, and operations teams.
The result is a training and development infrastructure that does not stop at launch. It evolves with the franchisee, scales with the team, and keeps every PatchitUP location operating at the same brand standard whether they are on day 30 or year 5. That is how we make sure no owner is ever left to figure it out alone.
Operational and Marketing Tools:
Franchise Marketing
Marketing is where most home services owners get stuck, burn cash, and lose their first six months guessing what works. PatchitUP eliminates that guesswork entirely. Every new franchisee plugs into a marketing engine that is already built, already optimized, and already proven across the network, so the phone rings on day one and capital goes to building the business instead of figuring out which platforms produce real leads.
It starts with the launch window. Built into every Startup Package is up to 6 months of pre-funded lead spend, scaled to the size of the launch. A Field Builder receives $15,000 in lead spend deployed across the first 6 months. A Market Builder launching with 2 trucks receives $30,000, and a Market Builder launching with 3 trucks receives $45,000. Those dollars go to real, proven lead-generation platforms in the franchisee’s service area, including Angi, Thumbtack, Networx, and Google Local Service Ads. Owners do not write a single lead-generation check during their first 6 months of operation. On top of that, every Startup Package includes 12 months of corporate-managed lead portal and profile management, valued at $5,400, where our team handles bid management, budget allocation, conversion tracking, and reputation management on the franchisee’s behalf. After month 12, owners can elect to continue corporate management or take it in-house. Most stay.
PatchitUP coaches every franchisee against a balanced lead-mix model we call the 50-15-35. Fifty percent of leads come from paid lead platforms, fifteen percent come from repeat customers and referrals, and the final thirty-five percent comes from the Power Partner Program, our exclusive B2B partnership engine that no other drywall brand has built. That third bucket is the differentiator. As franchisees recruit local plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, roofers, restoration companies, and property managers into Power Partner Essential (free) and Elite+ ($129 per month), they build a recurring B2B revenue stream and an active referral engine that compounds over time. Roughly 3 active Power Partners can support a full-time truck through referral volume alone.
Built into the model is the Local Advertising Expenditure requirement, where every franchisee invests the greater of 5 percent of Gross Revenue or $3,000 per operating van per month into local marketing inside their Service Area. Those dollars stay local. They are spent on the franchisee’s community, customers, and Power Partner ecosystem, building the brand at the territory level. At the same time, every franchisee contributes 2 percent of Gross Revenue to the Brand Development Fund, the national fund that builds the PatchitUP brand at a level no single operator could afford on their own. National SEO, national PR, brand campaigns, and the infrastructure that makes the PatchitUP name mean something across markets are all funded collectively.
Marketing collateral is built into the Startup Package and ready to deploy. That includes branded vehicle wraps, marketing and sales collateral, B2B Power Partner materials, branded apparel, tradeshow displays, lawn signs, door hangers, HomeGuard flyers, and Power Partner kits. Every piece is professionally designed, brand-consistent, and ready to use. Owners do not design or print their own. They open the box and put it to work.
The technology behind the marketing is just as serious. The Elevate Engine and our AI assistant Ella capture every inbound lead and book appointments 24 hours a day, so no lead is lost to a missed call or after-hours timing. ServiceTitan tracks every customer record, every job, every invoice, and every referral. The AI Brain inside ClickUp answers operational marketing questions on demand, grounded in the PatchitUP playbook and the franchisee’s own data. And HomeGuard, our consumer membership at $29 per month, turns paying customers into recurring B2C revenue, deepening the franchisee’s local brand presence one membership at a time.
The result is a complete franchise marketing system. Pre-funded launch leads, professional management, proven platforms, branded collateral, a B2B engine no competitor has, a structured consumer membership, recurring brand and local advertising investment, and a 24/7 AI front desk capturing it all. Owners do not have to be marketers. They have to be leaders. We bring the marketing.
