Restoration 1: A Business Built for Leaders Who Can Sell and Inspire
If you have strong Leadership & Vision and Sales & Channel Planning skills, Restoration 1 could be one of the most compelling franchise opportunities available today.
Restoration 1 is the Largest Independent Restoration Brand in the Country, with hundreds of locations open or in development. Operating in a $210 billion, recession-resistant industry, Restoration 1 serves both residential and commercial clients by helping them recover from water, mold, and fire damage — the kinds of emergencies that never stop happening, regardless of the economy.
This is a low-cost, high-demand, scalable business model that allows owners to build something significant while making a real impact in their community. Founded in 2008, the brand is backed by a world-class leadership team that has spent decades helping entrepreneurs succeed in franchising.
Why It Fits Leaders with Sales-Driven Vision
1. Your Leadership & Vision Create the Culture.
Owning a Restoration 1 franchise means building and leading a team that delivers when customers are under pressure. The best owners aren’t technicians — they’re leaders who can inspire performance, manage operations with discipline, and set the standard for reliability and professionalism in their market. Your ability to develop people, drive accountability, and create a winning culture directly impacts how your business grows and scales.
2. Your Sales & Channel Skills Drive Growth.
This business thrives on relationships — with insurance adjusters, property managers, real estate agents, and local referral partners. The most successful Restoration 1 owners are relationship builders who can confidently sell the value of their services and create strong referral networks that keep jobs flowing consistently. If you enjoy building trust, talking about money, and closing deals that help people in crisis, this model rewards your effort and initiative.

History:
Restoration 1 began with a simple mission: bring integrity, urgency, and craftsmanship back to the restoration industry. Founded in 2008, the brand quickly built a reputation for dependable service and compassionate support during a homeowner’s most chaotic moments. As the model proved itself, Restoration 1 began franchising—and momentum took off. For years, the brand grew rapidly, awarding territories across the country and attracting entrepreneurs who wanted a recession-resistant, essential service business with real community impact.
Fast growth, though, comes with growing pains. As the system expanded, Restoration 1 faced the same challenges that many high-velocity brands experience: uneven onboarding, inconsistent field execution, and franchisees who needed deeper hands-on support than the early structure could provide. Instead of ignoring it, leadership made a pivotal decision—slow down, rebuild, and reinvest in every part of the franchisee experience.
This shift became the brand’s defining chapter. Restoration 1 overhauled its onboarding and training from the ground up, created a structured 90-day launch program, strengthened operational playbooks, and expanded its business coaching network. The transformation was driven by two major strengths:
• An executive team with over 100 years of combined franchising experience, bringing maturity, discipline, and world-class franchise-development expertise.
• An operations and field-support team with more than 100 years of real restoration experience, ensuring that every owner receives proven, in-the-trenches guidance from true industry experts.
The biggest evolution came from understanding that restoration is a relationship business—so the brand built a comprehensive system to train franchisees and their Business Development Managers on how to build and nurture high-value referral partnerships with plumbers, insurance agents, property managers, and local emergency contacts. This became Restoration 1’s true “secret sauce” and a major driver of predictable job flow.
Today, Restoration 1 stands as a mature, stable, well-supported essential-services franchise with one of the strongest onboarding, training, and field-support programs in the industry. The brand’s early momentum, willingness to confront challenges, and deep reinvestment in franchisee success have created a franchise system that is both proven and continually refined—positioned for smart, healthy, long-term growth.

Training Description:
Support and Training is our super power here at Restoration 1.
118 hours a minimum training prior to opening for business. First, a franchisee will learn the technical side of the business by spending a full week in Sharpsburg, GA where they will become IICRC WRT/ASD certified. Following that, they will take a 32 hour course on estimating so they come out of the gates making the most of every job they get. Upon completion, new franchisees will then attend a full week of training at our brand new HQ in The Colony, TX. Opening day is typically a few weeks after completing R1U.
Franchisees will work with our Director of Training (30+ years of restoration experience) during onboarding in addition to the first 6-9 months of being open. While a franchisee can reach out at any time, there will be weekly checkins at minimum. Once they have graduated the freshman program, they will be connected with their Field Consultant which they will have access to for the life of their franchise. In addition to the 1 on 1 support provided, franchisees will have access to professionally moderated peer groups, sales/profitability bootcamps, annual business planning event, best practice calls, and much more.
Operational and Marketing Tools:
Restoration 1 equips franchise owners with the playbooks, coaching, and strategic guidance they need to build a strong and sustainable local marketing engine. We provide best practices in digital strategy—including SEO, paid search, Google Local Services, and reputation management—and introduce franchisees to a vetted digital marketing partner for ongoing monthly management. Owners receive a customized local marketing roadmap, hands-on onboarding, and continuous support from experienced marketing coaches who help them understand KPIs, optimize spend, and make informed decisions. A key differentiator is our focus on teaching franchisees and their business development managers how to build high-value relationships with local referral partners such as plumbers, insurance agents, property managers, and realtors. Through structured training, scripting, and proven outreach tactics, we prepare them to network effectively, nurture long-term partnerships, and convert those relationships into consistent job flow. Our goal is to provide the tools, strategy, and support structure that put every owner in the best position to succeed.
