History:
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Peter Ross started Senior Helpers back in 2002. He was a senior executive in sales and marketing for a security company. Peter was tired of working in corporate America and was getting burned out. Peter and his colleague, Tony Bonacuse decided they wanted to open a business to start making money for themselves.
The two sat down for lunch one day at a Subway in Baltimore, MD. This is where they came up with their top 3 business ideas. Senior Helpers was truly an idea born on a napkin. Peter and Tony had their own personal struggles with aging family members and trying to find high quality care.
They opened their first location in Timonium, MD in 2002. One year later they opened a second location in Long Beach, CA. Peter and Tony wanted to see if their model would work across the country, and sure enough- it did! That’s when they fine-tuned systems, processes and started franchising to give other people the opportunity to get into business with a proven model. Today we have over 430+ locations across U.S., Canada and Australia. We are known as the premiere for provider for in home care and continue to service more than 600,000 clients per year.
