The Shula’s Story

Established in 1989, Shula’s Steak House began with the legacy of Coach Don Shula. Our goal was to build a reputation to match the standards set by one of the greatest and most celebrated coaches in NFL history.  We’ve since taken this goal and launched a range of restaurants and social venues under the Shula name, carving out a legacy in hospitality of our very own.

It doesn’t matter if you’re coaching an undefeated football team, or grilling up the perfect  porterhouse – excellence is a way of life, and it’s central to everything we do.

Inspired by Coach

Coach Don Shula is an American sports legend, best known for leading his team to the only perfect season in NFL history.  With 347 victories in his career, Coach knew exactly what it took to be the best, and it is his philosophy which guides us to this day. Coach Shula’s talent, tenacity, and consistent attention to detail meant that his only real competition was himself.

Training Description:

Shula’s provides the franchisee with approximately 14 days of onsite basic training for the Head Coach, Chef, and Banquet/Private Dining Manager and any other employees where it might be applicable. Shula’s also provides Manager’s training that is 3-5 business days at Shula’s HQ.  Any future replacement managers are also offered training and/or may be offered training at another Shula’s restaurant.

Shulas’ also offers ongoing training through its periodic site visits and at the request of the franchisee for special assistance.

Operational and Marketing Tools:

Shula’s provides a page for each restaurant in our master website (shula’s.com) along with:

  • social media marketing across the corporate brand on Instagram and Facebook
  • two evergreen emails each month to our database of guests to drive traffic
  • Brandfolder provides online access to branded logos, fonts, colors, guidelines, food and beverage photography, menus
  • Provide all menu updates/edits upon request and deliver print-ready pdf’s to restaurant.
  • Provide graphic design professional to create private dining brochures
  • Guest loyalty and rewards program offering email marketing services and loyalty rewards
  • Uberall local digital marketing platform and listings management
  • Yelp enhanced listings across their platform, ensuring no competitor ads on Shula’s pages
