Southern Steer Butcher is a hospitality, high-quality, and community driven modern butcher shop. We offer premium, ethically sourced cuts, world famous marinated meats, homemade sides, specialty groceries, craft beers and wines. Our guests are inspired to return by emotional touch points not replicated in other retail environments. Giving back to and operating as an integral part of the community through outreach is core to our principles.
Southern Steer was founded in 2013 after Greg Snyder visited a butcher shop in the Northeast and recognized that there was a need for a community butcher shop in his hometown of Clearwater, Florida. As a niche business, Southern Steer becomes a pillar of the community when people visit to speak to a specialist, learn where their food comes from, and see how to keep it properly. It’s a service that cannot be replicated in the grocery store.
We’re far more “just a butcher shop.” Southern Steer is designed for long-term customer retention, community engagement with purpose, and a system focusing on providing healthy, high-quality meat products.
