Concept Description
Teriyaki Madness is a fast casual restaurant concept serving up quality, fresh, healthy and flavorful Asian food in a high-vibe atmosphere. Through years of mastering marinating, grilling, and wok-ing, we were able to make bowls that are as hearty and delicious as they are healthy. Our food is made when you order. Always fresh, never frozen marinated and grilled meats and customizable bowls meant for delicious and healthier eating. We have a collection of sauces, made from scratch with the best ingredients so we can bring a one-of-a-kind teriyaki taste to each bowl at an affordable price. Teriyaki Madness brings teriyaki to a whole new level with a family friendly, neighborhood feel.
Teriyaki Madness is a well-established Asian food franchise model that originated in Las Vegas in 2003, with over 155 open shops and operating in 41 states, Canada, and Mexico. Its founders created a community of raving fans and average unit volumes (AUV) over a million dollars. TMAD offers flexible store placement and store sizes, affordable investment, and a sales-to-investment ratio of 2.0. Their seasoned support team has combined 200 years of food franchise experience, and they prioritize education programs for franchise owners. The franchise fee ranges from $45,000 to $150,000, with a cash investment of $200,000 and an average investment of $350,500 to $976,860. The minimum net worth required is $500,000. TMAD offers franchise-wide benchmarking, with transparency reports that compare gross revenues, COGS, labor, and more to push restaurants to higher profits. Teriyaki Madness is a unique and compelling franchise opportunity, positioned to take advantage of the massive growth potential in the Asian food segment, with a proven business model and a supportive and experienced franchise team.
There’s a reason Teriyaki Shops are found everywhere in Seattle; teriyaki is fast, delicious, and healthy. The founders love affair with teriyaki started in Seattle as students, then was brought home to Las Vegas in 2003 to see if it would work in a totally different market. It wasn’t long before they had built a community of raving fans and average unit volumes (AUV) over a million dollars. Teriyaki Madness’ AUVs are $1,090,110* and 34%* stacked same shop sales growth 2023 vs. 2020! It’s safe to say we have the best bowls in the business! In 2012, after proving the business model, with 7 open shops, Teriyaki Madness began building its community of teriyaki shop owners and food fanatics nationwide. With success across the country, we took TMAD to the next level.

“We love the concept, simplicity of the menu, it blends delicious, fresh, and healthy. The TMAD team with its end-to-end support from training, opening, and business reviews creates a WIN-WIN relationship! Plus we want to make a difference in our community and four our employees to build a career!”.”

Qing Li
“The corporate team is fantastic. What impressed me most about them is they always think from your perspective. They don’t push you into a decision if you’re not comfortable with it. They always put you first. They always think: Will this work for you? Is this good for you? They are a very dedicated team. A lot of them have in depth experience and they share those experiences with you unconditionally. They’re warm. It’s just a great group of people that work for you, support you and put your interests first. With the three elements, this is a good business venture.”
– Qing Li, Teriyaki Shop Owner
Rob Garnecki
“I was sold on TMAD when I went to Denver for training, I could really tell that corporate believes in the product, system and the model they have in place. It’s important to have a strong corporate, the support allows people like me who do not have that sort of background to be successful.”
-Rob Garnecki, Teriyaki Shop Owner
Marlin McClure
“At TMAD all of the systems are already in place, it is an easy process if you just follow the systems. That is one reason TMAD stood out to us among other franchises, the others are the food, we believe in the food, and it is a great healthy option. Looking at other franchise groups they did not fit the future of the restaurant industry, in my opinion, menu size, shop footprint, delivery, third-party delivery, the restaurant industry seems to be trending that way. TMAD is already there, the leadership group really understands what is going on and that is a big reason we chose TMAD.”
-Marlin McClure, Teriyaki Shop Owner
Dave Patrick
“When you can run a shop with 6-7 people, it beats other franchise concepts who must run 10-12 people shifts because of labor cost. With the way labor is today, and the small staff a TMAD needs to operate, it makes a very attractive to franchise to get into.”
-Dave Patrick, Teriyaki Shop Owner

Advertising and Marketing Support Description
The Teriyaki Madness Marketing Fund provides development of brand awareness, advertising and marketing campaigns that help inform and engage the Teriyaki Madness customer. These programs have broader market penetration than local marketing tactics implemented through the owners at the community level. Another element of the marketing fund is to provide support experience and tools to help every owner generate an impactful marketing plan using publicity, public relations, promotional and other marketing programs. Franchisees contribute 3% of net revenues annually to this fund.
A Local Shop Marketing (LSM) program is created through a collaboration with the franchisor to drive unit sales in the franchisee’s trade area. Franchisees allocate $10,000 for their grand opening marketing in their first year.
